My Daddy’s Favorite Time of Year…

When the weather starts to get cooler and the leaves begin to change I know it’s officially time for high school, college and pro football. If we are in the car weekdays from 2-6 mommy makes me listen to Paul Finebaum. I don’t understand why – she seems to hate him and usually ends up yelling at the radio and beating the steering wheel while shouting “stupid bama fans”. Daddy always has the TV turned on to whatever football game might be on. We are for sure a football family. We eat, sleep and breathe Oxford and Auburn football during the season. My daddy is a coach on the freshmen team and charts play’s for the Varsity on Friday nights. Mommy has only let me go to one Varsity game this year.  I’m not sure why- all I want to do is run on the field and chase the ball with the big boys but apparently that is frowned upon.  My daddy had his first home game Monday night but I couldn't go. I have a sinus infection and a double ear infection so they thought I should stay home.  My best friend Elly went to the game with me and our mommies made us wear matching outfits.

Auburn football is another one of our passions but so far they aren’t doing well this season and my daddy is a little depressed. My Big Sam has taught me to yell “roll tide” and I say it at the most inappropriate times. I think its funny to say it in Walmart, when the other team scores against Auburn or when we are eating dinner. Mommy and daddy are trying really hard to break me of this bad habit but my Big Sam keeps making it worse.

Flower Girl Duties

My Aunt Krissy got married a couple of weeks ago. I had the honor of being their Flower Girl. I was so excited I couldn't wait. Mommy was very impressed with my flower girl skills. I really did a good job because I'm hoping to be asked to carry the basket in many more weddings. My daddy is a little stressed now that I will be getting married one day. He is starting a Chloey gets married savings account now.  My family from South Carolina stayed with us for the weekend. I loved having them here. I had so much fun with my Aunt Vickie and my cousins Brittney and Katie. I can't wait to see them again.

Olympics 2024

I started my training last night and had daddy document my first night so when I'm performing at the Olympics I will have a nice little feature on how I got started. I had lots of fun and actually did pretty amazing. I cried when it was time to leave but mommy promised me french fries so I perked right up. I will keep you updated during my quest for Olympic Gold......

Back & Better Than Ever....

I’m sorry I haven’t blogged in a while….I have been very busy. It is just hard to find the time to sit down and write a good blog- I mean with all the walking, learning to talk and swimming with floaties I’m just so overwhelmed. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is a repeat so I decided to set some time aside between breakfast and nap time. Since the last time we have spoken my daddy has turned the big 3-0 (he is such an OLD man), I have turned the big 0-1, the pool has been officially opened, my aunt Krissy had her Bridal  Shower, a new house, Easter, 4th of July and a visit to Gatlinburg.   WOW- I’m way behind on blogging hopefully I will get caught up and stay caught up. If you are a regular reader you might have noticed a new layout- Big shout-out to my good friend Alyssa. She updated it and brought it into the now. I mean I’m 15 months it’s time to have a blog layout that reflected that.

So let’s jump right in…..

My birthday party was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G it was everything I had been dreaming of since I was born. My mommy and daddy really outdid themselves (mommy did most of it-but daddy did front the money). It was at my house (now my old house) and everybody who was anybody was there. It was a “Chloey’s Candyland theme” and I couldn’t have been more impressed. We had hotdogs, homemade ice-cream, lots of presents and my awesome cake. I was so overwhelmed by the end of the party I had a small mental breakdown but after a quick power nap it was time to start playing with my new toys….I always say “so many toys so little time”.

My Diek and Ammie have a huge backyard complete with an awesome swimming pool. I spend many lazy summer days getting my tan on. I was a little shy at first and only wanted to stay in my baby pool but no worries I’m now swimming by myself with the help of my floaties. I have also jumped off of the diving board by next summer I’m projected to be swimming without the floaties (I’m thinking about entering the swim races at Freedom Fest next year so I have to start training now). I have big shoes to fill- my mommy took 1stplace in the 6 year old division (she forgets to tell people she was the only one swimming).

You might have heard that my Aunt Krissy is getting hitched to a dude from Australia. His name is Uncle Chris Duke and I’m pretty pumped he is going to be in my family I just hope he doesn’t take my Aunt Krissy to live in Australia (again). We hosted her Bridal Shower at my church. She got lots of presents mostly cooking stuff- she better learn how to cook my Uncle Chris has a hearty appetite. Anyway, as usual I was the life of the party I helped her open gifts, stole food off of people’s plates and danced my little booty off.

Since I have been born mommy and daddy’s first house just kept getting smaller and smaller. They finally decided to sell it to my Uncle Kyle and buy our dream home. The thing I’m most excited about is I get my own room and my own playroom…..no more sharing my toys with my room ( I mean who does that). I love, love, love making a mess in my playroom and will spend hours in my room playing. Mommy seems pretty happy because daddy has his own “man cave” and she doesn’t have to share a closet with the neat freak. The house also came with an indoor swimming pool (Jacuzzi) and I love getting a bath with my babies.

We have celebrated a few Holiday’s since we last left off- My birthday, Easter, Memorial Day and The 4th of July. Most of those have been spent with friends and family around the pool. My favorite has been the 4th but I can’t decide if I like fireworks or not. If I could just see the lights without the big booms it would be golden.

This brings me to my final topic- Gatlinburg. My Mimi and Big Sam had planned a romantic trip to Gatlinburg so mommy and I decided to crash it. After a little rough patch of car sickness we got the party started. We ate at Hard Rock CafĂ© and I got to shake my booty, go see fishies at the Aquarium and try my first candy apple (delish).  It was a great adventure (Mimi and Big Sam- if you’re reading this I really really want to go to the beach. I will be a good girl and behave the entire time).

I have been talking up a storm. I can say thank you, boobies, toes, Sunday, food, chips, upstairs etc. I’m really starting to be a big girl. It makes mommy and daddy sad but girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.

Christmas

Last time I left off I was about to make my debut in the Lakeview Baptist Church Pre-School Christmas and of course I ROCKED it. I sang along, flapped my wings, danced and pulled hair I stole the show. …Christmas Eve Eve we went to my Diek & Grammie’s house. They got me a pink car and a bean bag and I was scared to death of them. My Uncle Kyle got me a pair of New Balance Shoes and a tunnel (those are my favorite but shhhh…don’t tell) plus lots more.  Christmas Eve was spent at my Big Sam & Mimi’s house they got me LOTS of stuff my favorite is my mailbox and cabbage patch doll. Aunt Krissy & Chris got me a Princess scoots along car and I play with it all the time.  Mommy and Daddy read me The Night before Christmas and The Christmas Story then we left Santa cookies and milk. You know how mommy complains I NEVER sleep…. I played a trick on them Christmas Eve and slept so much they had to wake me up!
After mommy made several unsuccessful attempts to wake me up she put my brother in the crib with me and he jumped on top of me a licked me in the face (daddy would kill mommy if he knew that).  Santa had left me TONS of stuff clothes, shoes, toys and movies. We went to church to celebrate the birth of Jesus and they were going to let me sit with them until I decided I wanted to crawl under the pew instead of listening to Brother Jerry!  We had lunch with my entire family and played with my toys. It was the best Christmas EVER. The very next day I decided to walk…. I’m now officially a walking machine.  Mommy cries every time I walk.

Missing In Action.....Thanksgiving, Start of Christmas and much more!

First of all I would like to apologize on my mommy's behalf for the lack of blogging. It has been a very busy time in the the Cruse household. My mommy got sick after Thanksgiving and they misdiagnosed her with the flu....turns out her gallbladder was in really bad shape so she had to have it removed and was down for the count for 2 weeks I didn't mind though...even though I missed her terribly I got to party at my Mimi & Big Sam's and at my Grammie & Deiks. They let me do whatever I want to do.....I got to drink root beer & sweet tea plus I tried a milkshake, grape salad, cool whip, fudge, chocolate oatmeal cookies (these are just what my mommy and daddy know about). I'm going on a date night with my mimi and big sam tonight at the mall...I'm sure I can talk them into a coke icee and a double doozie from Great-American Cookie it will be our little secret.

Let's start with Thanksgiving week- We had Thanksgiving with my Mimi & Big Sam on Wednesday night with lots of yummy food. I was to excited to sleep the night before Thanksgiving so I kept my mommy and daddy up all night! The next morning we watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and I really don't see what the big deal is... it was pretty boring. I got my first real boo boo :( I pulled my stocking holder down and it landed on my head. It scared my mommy and daddy to death ( I swear my daddy cried). I had a pretty good knot and cut on my head for Thanksgiving pictures but luckily my bow covered it up. We spent Thanksgiving day at my Mama Stinsons for lunch followed by fun on the farm at Ginger and my cousin Rustin's house. I got to play in the pasture and pet a horse for the first time. The night was spent playing at my Mimi and Big Sam's house while my mommy and daddy went home and took a nap.

Next- The start of December....I have a different Christmas outfit complete with matching bow for every day in December ( I also have Christmas pj's for bedtime). I think it is a little ridiculous but my daddy says to just deal with my mommy being Crazy for Christmas. Every time I turn around my mommy is taking pictures and crying about how big I've gotten. Mommy and Daddy hooked me up with tickets to Breakfast with Santa. I had so much fun listening to Mrs. Clause read a Christmas Story and then I got to eat breakfast with Mr. Grinch, Frosty the Snowman and my personal favorite Rudolph. This Sunday night I'm in my first Christmas Program and I can't wait. I have a special Angel costume that my Aunt Christie made me and I'm going to rock it. (It starts at 6:00 if you would like to come see me) I got to go to the Bass Pro Shop in Leeds to visit with Santa. The line was so long my daddy wouldn't let me stand in it so he bought me a light up rudolph instead. We walked all around the store and looked at tons of fishing and hunting stuff.

Finally- I'm starting to practice walking. I can take 3 steps but when I realize what I'm doing I freak out and fall. I have developed my own attitude and I don't like it when I don't get my way....I throw a fit in the floor, scream or my personal favorite biting ( mommy and daddy are in trouble). I have also learned how to open the cabinet doors, climb in my brother Baxter's cage, try to eat his dog food and help mommy unload the dishwasher. Mommy says I have hundreds of dollars worth of toys and I only want to play with what I'm not allowed to have. Daddy says I'm making a good case of being an only child.

Enjoy the pictures!!

Excuse me???

I want to wish everyone a very  Merry Christmas. I'm sure I am going to get more stuff than I know what to do with and will like the boxes they came in more than the actual toy.
